Tropical Mist uses only the best solutions available today. It is made for us by a FDA approved pharmaceutical lab. Our tanning product is safe for adults as well as children and even pregnant women.

DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) which is the tanning ingredient in our tanning solution has been approved for use for over thirty years. It is derived from sugar cane.

You will have the option to choose from two products that we carry currently.

Tropical Blend

This is our most universal color and works well with all skin tones. It gives a very nice natural looking tan and wears very nicely. The actual tan will take up to 24 hours to cure. It last 5-7 days and can be maintained weekly. It dries quickly and does not smell. It does contain a bronzer that shows instantly on the skin to create a spontaneous tan line. It will wash off in the shower but the tan will be underneath.

Tropical Blend Dark

Our tanning products have virtually no odor.

Our tanning product is water based and will wash off of anything it gets on. It will not stain hair or clothing.

Our tanning product’s consistency eliminates a majority of the overspray which other products are known for. Together with our airbrush system it provides for a “friendly spraying experience” for both the person applying the tan as well as the person receiving the tan.

Bronze Kiss

Bronze Kiss is Tropical Mist's newest product to be added to its sunless tanning product line. It is a personal spray tanning product that can be used by everyone, anywhere. It is great for touch ups, face tans, or even full body tans when they can't make it into the salon. It sprays on easily and dries almost instantly. The tanning ingredients are the same as in Tropical Mist's Professional Airbrush Tanning Solution which is used worldwide. It has a pleasant Tropical scent and produces the sexiest sunless tan available today!

Please note that if you have had a reaction in the past to self tanners, you may wish to try a patch test prior to your initial spraying session. There are only a very small percentage of people who are actually allergic to DHA (less than 1 %). to DHA (less than 1 %).
